Seems like I remember seeing in a previous thread that you get 10 gimmicks. Don't quote me, but I don't think he teaches a DIY method.

Looks awesome. But indoors is impossible with smoke alarms and $ 5 per performance (or practice) is kinda steep for street performances. IMO.

To answer a few questions, and respond to a few comments...


You get 10 matchbooks per package, however I have always put a few extra in (of the other available designs) for practice. Yes, for some this may be a bit pricey, but for me, it is only a few dollars per show, which is a small price to pay for such a powerful effect. For those that aren't into lighting them on fire, or the cost associated with doing so, there IS a handling detailed where you don't actually burn the matchbook, which means each matchbook is usable countless times if cared for.

PhilDean - Hey man, I am sorry this isn't your cup of tea; different strokes for different folks as they say. I remain very proud of this effect, and it will remain a mainstay in all my performances.

UnmaskedMagician - Thank you; as I mentioned above, the cost is relative, and if you use the no burn handling, one pack of matchbooks will last you a LOT of performances.

itsmagic - Unfortunately, you cannot perform your suggested routine, as the gimmick is the matchbooks; you cannot make your own on your business cards.
