Those restrictions render the effect almost useless for a working performer and anyone that does not have 100% control of the performance environment. Maybe "the_man_who_knows", you are one of the lucky ones that have perfect lighting, angles, and constantly perform at the perfect location that allow all of the aforementioned criteria to perform with Visual Matrix. If so, you are a rarity. |

The fact this is in that category doesn't make it bad. It's actually a brilliantly thought out and clever device. But yes, as with all similar things, you need certain conditions. Saying it's bad because of that is like saying a Lambo is a bad car because you have to have access to a racetrack to get the most out of it and it's useless for the school run. |

Well "the_man_who_knows", the old sayings "Different strokes from different folks" and "One man's trash is another man's treasure" apply to our differing viewpoints about this product. Add any other analogy that one hears that is in a similar context.
I am glad you think it is quite ingenious, and I am not going to argue with your viewpoint (you are free to think whatever you want..it's all good). Will Tsai is an engineering genius in so many ways; he paid close attention in his design and engineering classes, as well as his Marketing classes. Too bad he fell asleep or skipped his Business Ethics class way too many times. Hopefully, you will find a use and chance to use this product effectively when on stage (if that is an option for you), a parlor show (with perfect lighting, spectators 10 feet away, etc.), or on social media (finding a suitable substitute for rose petals). As for me, I am with a lot of experienced magicians in this thread (and in general) that have massive reservations about this product, especially since it involves Sansminds. If you truly own this (and not just being a contrarian to spark debate), I would truly love to hear more of your thoughts (feel free to PM me). Good magic to all! |

Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

Lol I just bought this for $100. I was curious. It’s pretty hilarious when you open the box and you don’t see a complete flat black surface. Far FAR from it. I burst out laughing. I know exactly what James from MSSD meant when he said it looks dirty. It does. I sincerely don’t know how the AGT act looked so clean.
That said, I haven’t watched the tutorial yet and do plan to give this a fair shake, because I do a stage act, perhaps I can utilize the overhead video / perfect lighting rig and get this to look decent. But overall it is quite silly. |
