M.R. James 115th anniversary of the publication of Ghost Stories of an Antiquary - a message from Prof B.C.
Prof B.C. is currently in the UK but is suffering from cronically bad Wi-Fi. He sends the following telegram: "Tended to Monty's grave this morning for the 115th anniversary of his Ghost Stories publication. Only wish I could inform the faithful on the Café but internet connection wonky. Doing what can be done. Have a pint to Monty this week if you can" Click here to view attached image. |

If your wi-fi is down, you should just instead "oh, whistle, and I'll come to you, my lad."

Apart from the weather and the Wi-FI issue he seemed in good spirits. He’s settled into rooms in Windsor and some chap from Mr. Britnell’s emporium had just sent over a rather large, black-framed mezzotint from their current catalogue. No. 978 I believe. Not especially exciting, and the price seemed high but he was just settling down in front of the fire to inspect it in a bit more detail........
