Still using mine, and it still works perfectly. Never had one issue with it not working the way it was intended.

Has anyone had problems with the loud snapping sound when doing the flip? Even when I talk the sound is noticeable to the audience.

I’m not crazy about that click. Probably best to do the effect in a noisy environment.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

It definitely makes noise however who’s to say a magic box doesn’t make a noise when it changes color?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"The wheezing of the TARDIS was actually generated when Brian Hodgson, then the studio manager at theRadiophonic Workshop, dragged one of his house-keys along the strings of a broken piano. ...." so, all you need to cover the sound of the gimmick is a broken piano and and key! |

Here are two short videos of me using the "Blue Illusion" gimmick.
The first video is "Blue Illusion" original handling. Video 1 (original handling): https://youtu.be/jrxJnnKIIlA?si=4P19VebTnQYP26tN The second video is also with the "Blue Illusion" gimmick but I changed the handling. The card box changes color in slow motion. I find this much more magical because the color change happens slowly, step by step. I called it "Rotating Color Changing Card Case". Video2 (my handling): https://youtu.be/8fILcMDzyLY?si=O8s3_zsXag9LpCKI |

Really loved this gimmick! Deceiving and super easy to do. Just like most of these gimmicks, after extensive use they become frail, rip and just fall apart. Might have to pick another one up. Thanks dj for sharing your videos and reviving this thread!

My gimmick, one side of the gimmick broke after a lot of use. I repaired it with invisible scotch tape.
