Hi iam new in Magic since Few Month. Are tricks available, it doesn't matter if these are card tricks or mentalism etc. that can be fully examine before and after? I search for tricks that you don't have to do any slight of Hands and not so much preparation.

A lot of rope magic fits. Cut and restored rope has a move, but not really a sleight. You end clean.

There are a lot of self working card tricks.

For the most part, you can have innocent props or you can be sleight-free. In most cases, though, you will have a hard time being magical with no work and examinable props. Not saying it can’t be done, but you do limit yourself a lot by eliminating the two primary tools in magic (sleight of hand being one, gimmicks being the other).

Haven't used a gimmick for the last six decades. Made jaws drop all over the word without them - and with borrowed decks.

One thing that comes to mind is the impromptu version of Out of This World. No sleights. You can use any deck, and it is completely examinable.

Any mentalism with the "one ahead" principle. Mark Wilson's book has one of those using cards.

There are lots of these kinds of tricks. It has been so long since I've done any of them I can remember off the top of my head, but go to Amazon and get Mark Wilson's Complete Course of Magic and you'll find a dozen or more such tricks.

But really, learn the sleights. It's so much more satisfying and versatile.

Harry, how much of your repertoire is sleight-free? I know you’ve been a card magician for a long time, but you have a reputation as an expert with the sleights and the OP was asking about sleightless. And I did mention self working card tricks because there’s a tremendous wealth of material on them.

If the overhand injog shuffle is considered a "sleight," for example,then very little of my "stuff" is sleight free. But if we're considering passes, diagonal palm shifts, culls, and the like, then most of my stuff is sleight free. Difficult to distinguish. I sure don't use/do difficult sleights. I've developed and published many sleights that are easy to learn/do and that accomplish the same as what I consider difficult sleights.

But as I wrote in the Foreword of THE MAGIC BOOK (which was/is for beginners) "I'll save you the forty years that I wasted learning/practicing sleights that I never used!"

That’s good to know about your material, Harry. I assumed (in error, it appears) that because of your reputation for skillful handling that much of your material would require chops that are beyond the beginner. The only material I own by you is The Memory Book and you edited at least a couple volumes of Tarbell.

For the OP, don’t fear sleights. There are a lot of great magic tricks that use only simple sleights, as Harry indicates above. But to be self working and examinable is asking a whole lot.

My suggestion is you buy a good basic book. I’m partial to Mark Wilson’s Complete Course. Harry’s Magic Book is likely just as good. I also really like Nick Einhorn’s books, too. Pick one. Learn half a dozen tricks. Have fun. After you perform them a few times, you will know what else is worth your time to learn. And I bet you’ll find that a lot of sleights are not too hard for you.

Yes, of course, a lot of my handlings "require chops." Just that my "handlings' are not too difficult. What's difficult, Patrick, is to explain it. You just need to read my books. (On, I didn't "edit" Tarbell #7 - I WROTE it. Some of the "chop required" handlings are taught therein.)

The Whispering Queen is a great card trick which requires no sleights. I've gotten several great reactions with it.
