This is a quick survey.
I mainly deal with Bee because I like the feel of a Bee deck, the only thing I don't like is they get warped easily, and the back is very confusing which can be a good thing when doing passes. Does any one here deal with Tally Ho or Aviator or the very popular Smile, and why do you like them so much?

There is a prevous thread about this, yo may want to hunt for it.

In a nutshell, Aviator are easy to bend and hide for me--- Tally Ho's are the best and most durable. They just feel good in my hands.

Bikes are common, easy to find everywhere in the U-S and usually pretty consistent in quality .

In England Waddington's are great -- with a nice feel and the bridge size works for most hands.

In Spain the card of choice is the Fournier 505--- primo for Europe.

People nowadays think that when its not a Bicycle or Hoyle deck with doing card tricks, its gimmicked. Smile

Personally, I use Aviator's for manipulations, flourishes, and the like. I use the Bikes for regular-audience participation type of effects. For Close-Up work, I use blue backed cards, and for stand-up I use red backed cards (red cards look bigger in front of an audience.)

Lay audiences assume that I use a trick deck -- they don't have any other explanation. They're left with no explanation when I hand them the deck to be shuffled! I've been known to do sleights with a dog-eared deck and fry laymen; the trick is to practice and rehearse with an old deck.

I use Bikes for most effects, because they're easy to find and quite cheap, if you know where to look. I use 100% plastic cards to make Invisible Decks with, because they resist humidity.

Bikes are great unless you use them for effects requiring that you bend them. They tend to crack unfortunately.

I have to agree, everytime I show a trick to my brother usin a bicycle deck, he is convinced that there are gaffed cards involved. I tried tally ho and I think im gonna use them from now on
