I’ll admit it, I am a sucker for a book ended show. Practically every show I’ve ever written has a final moment which relates back to an earlier moment in the show.
What are your favorite effects to book end performances? What’s the most ambitious/entertaining final moment that references something earlier? Derren Brown’s Enigma show probably started my obsession with a final moment that calls back to something earlier in the show. Madison |

Looks like Derren, master performer that he is, makes book ends a regular part of his stage shows. I recently saw his 'Secrets' show here in NYC, and he book ended with a large screen video of a person he pretended not to know earlier in the show.

This is corny but...
Start off with The "NO" gag and finish up with the same thing, only changing the spelling to "KNOW." You could say something about how you started on a negative note and were finishing on a positive. Hey, I said it was corny! |
