Hi All,
I am looking for an old effect known as the Zig Zag Lady. The trick consisted of three cardboard pictures of ladies who would be cut in three and then appear different every time. Chu's magic made a terrible copy of the trick. The first cardboard lady will be cut in three, the second cut out would see the lady change into superwoman and the third made the lady disappear. Any Idea who manufactured the trick or if it is still available. My description gives you a basic idea of the trick but I am sure if you used it you would know what I am talking about. Any leads will be appreciated

The manufacturer was Tricks Co. Ltd Tokyo Japan in 1983. I doubt if you could find one new on the market as with certain magic tricks they come and go.

Dan is spot on. Its full name is The Magic Show ZigZag Lady Parade by Toshio Akanuma. Had one as a teen and used it a lot. Today they are highly collectible, often selling for over $100 on auction sites.

I just managed to grab one off a friend. I remember I had this years ago and glad I got another one. This is good for social distancing because it does not require any volunteers. It is also easy to see and fun to do. These are tough to get your hands on. Cheers!

I have the instructions. However, I change the presentation a bit to suit my style.
It looks nice but is made of cardboard. So it does require care when handling and performing. However, it is fun to perform. Cheers! |
