I am looking for some inspiration for a clipboard routine, other than the standard drawing duplication effect. Can anyone recommend some resources - books, DVDs, lecture notes or whatever - for some more interesting and creative uses of impression boards? I'm interested in all types of boards - the more traditional ones and also the newer electronic boards from the likes of Fabrice Delaure and Labco. Thanks! George |

My Apogee Black/Red clipboard routine is simple and plays really strong. The way it looks: 5 simple clip boards are used. They are made of (3.5" x 5.5") foam-core board and handed out to random spectators who are asked to stand up. The performer holds up a playing card with the back to the audience (card #1); those holding the clipboards are asked to record their intuitive impression as to the colour, red or black of card #1; the performer places the unrevealed card onto the table in front of him. This continues for 8 or 9 more cards. The performers then begins to show the faces of the cards in order with the spectators checking the accuracy of their intuition for each card; they are to sit down if they make an error. It soon becomes apparent to the audience that one of the spectators is getting EVERY ONE correct, which she does. Impressed by this spectator's gift, the performer invites her she to participate in the next demonstration. PM me if you want additional details.
