No you do not need a stack of cards.
The only downside to this switch is that it requires to fold/ unfold the card from the front to the back which is not how you would normally do it. Normally you open unfold a card from the front toward the back. It is a Little detail that looks awkward Also I am not sure I liked the idea in some of the effects of having to clap your hands to switch the card from one hand to the other. It is easier just to display the card with both hands and slide the other card behind the displayed card. Sort of like when you do a bill switch with a TT. I recently watch a DVD from Looch where he does a billet switch. All he did was palm a billet , grab the other with the same hand and then toss the palmed one. Like a Bobo coin switch. This has been the must natural and simple switch I have ever seen. I am not sure why we like to complicate things unless you like to fiddle with your fingers. I am sorry I had to be the evils advocate Enjoy |

Hello !
@Joaquin : no prob ! Thank you for your feedback ! Tbh, the creator of Billet Chi told me he's not a fan of this either, he uses other (classical) switches that allow you to not do do what I do (clap my hands) However, regarding the front/back fold/unfold part, I will have to disagree, it is natural to me 😅 @Randa : thank you for your feedback, glad you liked it ! Yesss, Billet Chi is SO great !! (I allow myself to say it, cause I'm not the creator of it hahaha) Best, Julien |

(I wanted to edit the previous message but it looks like it's too late)
But the thing regarding the "clap" is that it's a compromise I'm willing to make, because the switches/choreography taught in this project are REALLY clean ! But would you rather not "clap", feel free to use other switches ! Best, Julien |

I'm late to the party but I recently picked this up and I really enjoyed it.
I'm a big fan of Barrie Richardson so some of the work came easily to me... but unfold switch required a little more work and I caused me to go back to my Switchcraft bible to consider alternatives. However, I think with a little work, this will become an easy natural move for me. And I love the routines. Yes, Chi is lovely-- but I think S.E.E. is a really off-beat and punchy routine that I will use! Finally I'm happy that someone is out there keeping billet work alive. Merci Julien! Dave

Hey Dave ! Thank you so much for the feedback !!
And I'm glad you like the material proposed in my product ! Yesssss, I love billet work and I'll keep workin' on it again and again and again !! To me, it is a staple in our art and... the most versatile weapon ever... such a shame nowadays everyone is focused on the next wallet or the next imp pad, etc. I don't mean they're bad tools, I just mean with a little work, billets can do so much for us ! (and I have the same passion for old books/old material... and yep, this is totally a teasing for my next project ! haha) Best, Julien |

Oh, to my shame, I did not realise until just now that Julien is the same gentleman who created one of my favourite releases of the year - Omnitool. I remember watching the video instructions and thoroughly enjoying his charming manner, joie de vivre and marvelling in his skill and expert knowledge. Reason enough to check out Julien's latest creation.

I didn't even realize there was a Vol.2! I picked it up immediately and absolutely love it. Julians work is just plain fun to practice. I DO need to practice though before I'll feel comfortable. But, it's taking shape fast, and I'm really enjoying the process. I'll use methods I find fun any day of the week. There's something so oddly satisfying here. And again, Julians teaching style, and attitude, is a treat. I'm a fan of the material and the man Looking forward to seeing more, trust factor is a 10 at this point.

This is gold. Seriously.
And with the ideas in the Facebook group?? Especially if you enjoy Phedon's work... it's underpriced. Great release by Julien. Again. |

From vol.1, does anyone know which wallet Julien is using? The video mentions 'Mystic Wallet'. But I cant find a SUC wallet via that name. I liked the look of it.
Thank you. |
