Around ten years ago, I saw an effect where the magician would outjog the spectator's face-up card on the bottom of the deck. Then, with one hand, he'd shake the deck and the card would jump up through the deck to the top. Unfortunately I can neither remember the name of the magician nor of the effect. Does that ring any bells? It was definitely a one-hand sleight, no gaffes. Any help or even similar effects would be appreciated; I'm looking for things I can practice with one hand.

Did some more digging- the one I was looking for is Chad Nelson's "Surfaced" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=So06y7xtU_k
I'll check out Ray Kosby- thanks! Gonna see how different these are in practice, might be able to combine them for a routine. |

If you are looking for a specific effect why not post it outright?

Sorry, I was inaccurate. "Surfaced" is the name of the trick collection, but the sleight is a clip shift.
