Anyone else has the same opinion about new books from dover being pretty low quality about print? or I am alone there?
I have quite several books from Dover, all being new reprints, for example "Practical mental magic" or "Scarne on Card Tricks" along many others, and the letters are not sharp, there is a huge amount of white spots almost everywhere, is not that you can't read it, its just that ends up being slighlty annoying. for example: https://i.imgur.com/fwjeJ9d.jpg One of the books I have is "self working paper magic" i bought an old version very cheap and since the book was not in very good condition I decided to buy it new too, now I have both books to compare, and oh men, I can clearly see how the new book is like a bolded photocopy of the first one rather than a vectorial print from an original source, all leters lack sharpness, in this case they made it everything bolder, its not another font or so, its truly all the same but bolder and with lack of sharpness, kind like if they losed the digital source of the original and they just scanned one of the prints, and instead of apply an OCR to get a vectorial font, they just applied a photo filter to make it bolder. check this dollar sign for example, comparing on the left the old print, slighly more fadded but super sharp, and on the right a new reprint, with lack of sharpness and bolder, (might look like, but the right picture is Not out of focus) https://i.imgur.com/KjX7hIt.jpg So yeah overall pretty dissapointed with Dover books quality, buying a second hand older version from dover, even tought is older and used, returns a much better reading experience than a new reprinted book. I compare Dover books with others like Paul Zenon's books, who uses Carlton printing company, and its like night and day, super sharp letters, consistent print quality all over the book, really a pleasure tu read when a book is well printed.

This is so sad. Also the new covers are awful, with a whatever careless design, in contrast with the old covers which were an achievement in terms of graphic design. Unfortunately this company goes bad....
