Video is 49 minutes long. I am only half way through and grinning like the Cheshire Cat. He's already explained the move and 4 unique variations... and again I am only halfway through. This is lovely.

Asi is so bloody good at the move and the routine, that it gives me a lot of confidence that if I put the work in it’ll be worth it. The full performance is so deceiving, and some of the other routines offered are even more baffling

"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "

I’ve been doing this awhile now and I find this gets a better reaction. But it depends on what effect you want. ASI’s named card to wallet comes off as more of a coincidence I find and people are just like “well you got lucky” so I found that if
I show them the cards first and have them see a random one to verify it’s really in the deck. Shuffle the cards and then name the card out loud, Then I continue with the routine as Asi does and I show the card has disappeared and let them go through the deck and then the reveal. This gets a way bigger reaction too. The fact they saw the card in the deck and then it just genuinely isn’t there anymore… and is in the box/ wallet. The best. This has fooled every single Magician I’ve shown it too. And so both laymen and Magicians think you’re just getting lucky and it’s less magical. I also do a trick immediately before when I remove the cards from the box and get them to make a note of how empty it is as a joke. But that part isn’t part of the same routine. I also tell them the card they selected is their card without showing it to them and then do a rub a dub with the card they selected to vanish it before showing them the deck and that it’s really disappeared. One more thing.. I build it up like he does.. “appear in front of you… crazy… what about under the box? Insane… but what would be better than under the box?” And every single time they’ve been the ones to say “inside the box” at that point… boom… you’ve done a miracle. |
