Here's my take on the resealed deck. I first started using this system 30+ years ago and still do so today.
1) Go in at the bottom, no one suspects a trap door there. 2) You might try exposing the bottom of the case to steam from running tap water. 3) Use an Xacto knife with a new blade to pry the cellophane apart. Take your time, some are more difficult than others. 4) Slide the box out the bottom an inch or so and pry open the bottom of the case, it should separate very easily. You then have access to the deck. 5) Close the box flaps using a glue stick. 6) Reseal the cellophane using tiny droplets of SuperGlue. Dispense the glue onto a card, then use a toothpick to transfer micro dots of glue to the cello. Remember with SuperGlue: Less is more!! Or, you can use a glue stick, less trouble and it also dries crystal clear with no trace. Let me know if you need more help.

Thank you for a polite methodology and refraining from "my way is the only way" approach to your response.
Actually I just learned something quite important from your post. Yesterday I tried this a few times experimenting with different methods and I did something silly each time (I realize now). I removed the entire deck from the plastic... big mistake. The cellophane ripped each time I tried to put it back in the plastic. So that tip alone will help a lot. The glue I used is made by super glue but it is not actually super glue. It's called future glue, and its terrible for this because its very very liquid like water. Which is why it just soaked right through the cardboard onto the cards. |

If you bought yours at a hobby shop beware, modelers use the thin runny stuff to fill in cracks and seams on models. For our purpose here I'd use a glue stick, it should hold and it does dry clear; another choice is Elmer's white glue it also dries clear. That runny stuff is deadly, it gives no indication that it is flowing so much so fast that I've actually glued my fingers together. Its original purpose is to glue skin. Try my method above and let us know how you make out.

Use Elmers or glue stick for the cardboard box. Use the super glue only for the plastic wrapper. Rick

My method for this has been amended slightly. Ellusionist now sells Bicycle sticker seals for a great price. I peel off the original seal, and just reseal it. Much easier than taking apart and re-gluing the box. It also seems that Bicycle has started wrapping their cellohpane a little differently lately, but carefully slicing at the bottom and re-gluing it later still works for me.

Cut the edges of the cellophane exept for one and open (veary carefully) the box. slip in a card you are going to force (perferibly from another deck so the backs will be different) and take a small (thin) piece of tape and tape it shut . this is also how criss angel does his 'card vanish and reapear in other deck'. to see this go to youtube and type in 'criss angel card vanish'.

Isn't that a FISM winning effect? Is it available already?
