I recently picked up an interesting booklet called 'brainplay' by a guy called Bazz F. I'm no hard-core mentalist, but this thing is really clever. I've been combining it with 'vision' by Sean Goodman (which I use to peek the word or picture).
It seems brainplay has built on previous work by others (credited) to create a really simple and ingenious way of gaining one or more extra hits before the final word or picture reveal. I've only used this a few times so far, and with very little memory work, it's been great. It genuinely feels like freestyle mentalism, as the hits come in very frequently, but regardless, I still have the comfort blanket of the final reveal. It just makes for really enjoyable performing, which in turn I think means that a routine comes across stronger. It does help that 'vision' is also super simple, but brainplay will work with any word or picture revelation method you have. I wondered what others thought of this, and how it's playing for you? Thanks everyone. BW Steve |

An absolute gem. A must-buy. It’s been serving me so well that I still feel indebted to Barry.
