That's pretty much exactly opposite of how it works in the US. If someone purchased a copy of Genii magazine, they have the "right of first sale". That means that they can sell or give away the physical copy of the magazine that they purchased. If they distribute copies that were made without permission from the copyright holder, they are stealing intellectual property and that's illegal. If a bunch of people sent you their physical copies of Genii magazine, then good for you; it is their right to do so. Otherwise, you (and they) are infringing another's copyright.

It's way too late to stop while you're ahead on this thread, so I would suggest that you stop before you get even more behind.

Dude, that’s a really heavy compliment. Probably the best I’ve ever gotten. Thank you doesn’t seem to cut it but it’s all I have to offer. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort. You don’t seem to post much here so I’m even more impressed.

I have a lot of respect for Gallagher and for Eric and want to stay out of the ****ing match.I do hope to meet both of you one day, but probably not both at the same time. Perhaps it is time for this thread to quietly wither away.

Seriously, Eric - to work with you and Jimmy in New Orleans in the French Quarter is on my bucket list. I have been there twice to perform (once near Christmas and once during Mardi Gras) and both times was there when the two of you were absent.
Gallagher, I am not sure I will make it to Europe again, but the invitation to Pennsylvania still stands.

I don't see where any of that fits in with you receiving three copies of an article the author specifically asked not be distributed.
