But again, this is a deck that you would use in special circumstances where you want maximum effect with minimum handling and reset is not an issue.

At least 11 years too late... https://youtu.be/Bhw-NAhN9OI
Well, actually I did this +15 years ago and offered this to Murphys, Alakazam and Penguin in 2011-2012... They werent interested at the time so I published it in my lecture notes in 2013 at Escorial gathering. Juha-Matti |

But if you did, you would be well aware of the variations in them, including the one where you can show both sides of the deck and other where the deck also ends in new deck order... Both using similar gaffs, it is just a matter how far one wants to go. I prefer the version in the original clip because of the freedom of actions and instant reset. If the basic method isn't exactly the same as mine I apologize. But to me that looks very very very similar to mine and as stated, mine has been publicly available for +10 years. And so far, and I have asked worlds best cardmen if anyone knows aboit this and no one has been able to point me written source that pre dates my video. My best lead is still that Juan Esteban Varela might have something similar but it is unpublished. Also the method has been published by at least two different Asian magicians as theirs in the last few years. The solution might be obvious but if it is so, why it doesn't appear in print? If you know one, I would LOVE to know about it. Juha-Matti |

Then you reply and insinuate that the onus is on the questioner because they should be familiar with your published lecture notes. Man, it sure seems tough to release any effect these days. |

Why should Juha-Mati shoot a new video just to proove the point of his “original” method? Although he could have mentioned that his version could do the same as Petroleum - but guess what - no one of us is a communications experts - so I propose to allow each other some slack in this forum.. Also Max Lukian is in the clear for not knowing the effect was previously released (if they are exactly the same), since most of us have never heard about Juha-Mati’s method (although I have the first 50 Triumph versions in my drawer).
Having said that the method is obvious to most magicians, but the effect is extremely clean and amazing. If you like the effect, and think you will perform it using the method - then go and purchase it. Since I work mostly standing up, I just prefer doing this with a normal deck and a false upside/down riffle shuffle and a cut to separate the cards. Good luck to Juha-Matti and Max Lukian - two great minds coming up with the same idea independently of each other - apparently. SUPER clean an great visual effect - I like it. Jan |

How are the angles on Petroleum? Can this be performed surrounded with spectators staring at your hands? Does anyone have video link with uncut performances for real spectators? Theory 11 does not always provide enough performances.
Ego dissolution, not knowing is true knowledge, the moment of astonishment is there to help us remember who we really are beyond words. Who am I? I don't know. Not a magician, not this, not that. Nothing that can be put into words, thoughts, concepts, feelings, visuals..the eternal nameless beyond thought. Never born, deathless |

Looks like unexpected triumph from a few years ago and it’s obvious to me at least it uses mis in.d..ed cards.
I love Triumph I do it at every performance and often to the magical sceptic amongst the group, (if there is one) it blows their minds. Therefore I prefer a regular deck that the spectator can fully handle and shuffle Gaz 😊 |
