Does anyone know the name of the trick commonly found in older magic sets?
2 drinking glasses, a book, a hanky and gimmick.
cover book w/hanky, glasses mouth down on top. The gimmick and your thumb does the rest.
Thanks, Tom

I've always known it as the anti-gravity glasses but that may have just been the name Edwin gave to Supreme's version using the special tray.

Anti-gravity is what I've always heard - fun effect, specially in the kitchen - or Café.

Anti-gravity Glasses sounds right for me too when using drinking glasses.

I believe Anti-Gravity was the one where you stuck a pencil into the upside-down drink bottle.

...or this might have been the name for the one where the toothpicks passed through the neck of an upside down bottle?

It is possible, I remember that both gimmicks were stored on the same shelf at the brick and mortar I worked at.

In any case, BOTH are great tricks that I bet will play well today!

Louis Ganson's "Routined Manpulation Finale" has a chapter on this.
