Can someone help me locate an effect called "The Spirit Knot" where an overhand knot tied into a hank/silk unties itself while you're holding on to both ends?

Bob, Until you have the fifty posts, the best coverage on The Magic Café about this topic is not yet available to you. It is in the Banquet Room.
However, Paul Diamond (Mr. Humble) might be the right man to ask. If you have access to the "Standing Room Only" DVD from Aldo Colombini, watch his rope routine and get more than a rope routine out of it. Both use different methods. Both work. The advantage of Paul Diamond's method is that you can tie the silk around an object and it still works. Aldo Colombini's method leaves you clean. There are also Rice's books that give you multiple methods. It is a knotty subject and beautiful magic. Enjoy! Bob Magic By Sander |
