Members here on the Café'have asked about how Opium Coins are used.
Rick Merrill incorporated a custom made set into his winning FISIM routine. He elevated the effect in his own amazing style. I CAN't imagine the hours it took to perfect this presentation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcyjYV A custom set of my Opium Coin effect is on display''. The routine is Ricks own brilliantly executed handling. Thank you Rick, FISIM World Champion! Kotah |

Sounds cool, but I'm getting "Video unavailable" in YouTube

Thanks for sharing this KOTAH. I love watching Rick work. His style is so relaxed and effortless, and you're right, that kind of magic must come after hours and hours of practice.

My thoughts today have gone back over 40 years ago. I Made hundreds of gimmicks from #3 safety pins for Tony spina at Tannens; in trade for some magic books. The ring like gimmick fit on the thumb. It allowed one objectn held at the fingertips to seemingly, instantly and visually change to something else. In theory, it could also be used for billet and bill switches. it could have, I see; could have replicated changing a nickle into a genuine ring, or a borrowed half dollat into a chinese coin Both CrackerJack love effect, and Opium coin ,.,.,.done with borrowed ungimmicked coins/ It would even switch a gimmicked coin in for a borrowed coin. You borrow a quarter and immediately push a cigarette or other object throug it.

Is that gimmick still available and where in that case? It sounds amazing. |
