Just how invisible is the thread on the supermicro? for a first ITR for close-up use only would you guys recommend this or the woolly nylon version of thread boss? I have a theory that because supermicro has more and bigger holes it is harder to suck up the thread and fixe the device than the boss...please comment.

James George suggested possibly getting a thread boss but substituting the slightly thicker supermicro thread(he would do this for me). is this a good idea or is it not going to work very well like this?

I'm wondering which of the two do you think will work better for animating objects on the dinner table without getting caught?
