Try the Jeff McBride on stage DVDs for a little on spring flowers. If my memory serves me correctly he produced them from a silk, or silk steamer. It also seems like he transformed his zombie ball into a spring flower bouquet on the series.

If you're interested in making your own flowers another book you may want to get is 'Victory Bouquet' by Francis B. Martineau . (Martineau is best known for his amazing artistic contribution to the three-volume Rice's Encyclopedia of Silk Magic for which he drew thousands of illustrations and hand-lettered the entire text.)
https://www.lybrary.com/victory-bouquet-p-243.html This is Martineau's method of making a large bouquet (complete with long stems) of spring flowers , but this book would also be enormously useful to anyone wanting to make individual spring flowers. $2.00 from Lybrary.com for an e-book (PDF) version. I think maybe when you say "manipulation" of spring flowers you may be referring to this sort of "flowers from fingertips" effect? ('Million Flowers') - https://www.seomagic-usa.com/product_inf......s_id/553 https://youtu.be/KMz8SjvHmj4 https://youtu.be/HGC5hgnPmp4 I'm not sure if there is anything specific in print about that kind of production of the flowers. It is a fairly straightforward procedure and the instructional video that comes with the trick shows you everything you need to know . If you're interested in using spring flowers for productions of bouquets or a bunch of loose flowers from a paper cone (the traditional trick of Buatier DeKolta, also associated with such performers as David Devant, Frederick Eugene Powell, and Harry Willard, among others) then you are pretty much stuck with a Do-It-Yourself craft project , because most of the commercially available spring flowers from magic dealers look bad. There is a long topic running over in The Workshop section of the Café about making spring flowers. I've posted some resources there. (my posts on Page 2 and 3 of the topic) See: https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......start=20 . |

Vogler,
Most of the spring flower magic is usually obtained when you purchase the complete trick with prop and flowers. Abbott's Magic, Confetti Bowls is a great production effect. It always get great applause, especially from the ladies in the audience. The late Chicago magician Sam Berland sold a couple routines back in the 1970's. Berland, had marketed some very good spring flower production effects that you could use as part of a manipulation act. Time marches on, and if magicians don't purchase the products, they fall to the wayside and taken off the market. |

Gumbimagic hit the nail on the head. Trust me. You want to get Jeff McBride's Magic On Stage Volume 2. He goes into all the little details on using spring flowers, both for one at a time production and multiples. He also gives some great, highly visual, full manipulation routines combining them with silks and other props.

Ali Bongo wrote some good things. One tip include twice as many green flowers than the colored so it looks like greenery.
