LAUNCHING AT BLACKPOOL
A mouth-watering ring to impossible location with a sweet twist! Introducing Lord Harri's tang-tastic take on the vanishing ring plot. You’ll be expertly taught a wide range of brilliantly natural handlings and presentations which will end up with a spectator’s borrowed ring vanishing right before their eyes and turning into an iconic Haribo ring. It’s both hilariously fun and charming - watch their eyes light up in disbelief as you produce a real sealed pack of Haribo sweets and see their ring inside! The magician rips open the bag and pours the contents out of the bag into the hands of the spectator. Their ring lands in their hands, and they also get to eat the sweets! Everything is examinable. Harribo is super fun for all ages, is very easy to perform and gets the sweetest reactions. You’ll receive Lord Harri’s delightful routines and everything you need to perform this captivating effect right out the box including a couple of Harribo bags to get you started and a custom-made gimmick that will get your ring where it needs to be faster than your spectator(s) can say Haribo. Harribo is a fresh alternative to your existing ring to impossible location / nest of wallets / ring flight and something that leaves a great taste in everyones' mouths. This effect is so obvious I think even a small child would see through the method. Also "Their ring lands in their hands, and they also get to eat the sweets! " doesn't seem very practical these days with Covid, etc.. You have handled their ring and then it goes in to a pack of sweets that they are supposed to eat? the thought makes me cringe.
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Maybe they don’t have to eat the sweets and you don’t have to put the sweets in their hands.
As far as a kid figuring that out.. kids aren’t stupid and can figure a lot of stuff out. The reactions in the video seem pretty genuine to me and I’m sure Harry wouldn’t release a half baked idea. I think it’s pretty sweet! Joel

Well that trailer was a waste of my time. Why all the jump cuts and snippets!!! You obviously filmed each performance to those spectators.. why not just show us one performance in full in the trailer!!!!

As far as ring to impossible location I can see how this could be combined in to an effect like nest of boxes, or something similar, but I personally don't think it is that strong of an effect as presented, pulling it out of a pocket that you just fished around in for awhile.

The ring disappears or transposes by any way you wish or one of the ways taught on the tutorial and reappears in the packet, it's a simple but effective plot. Wether they choose to eat the sweets is up to them nobody if forcing them to. The important thing is you can see it gets great reactions. Harribo sold out at Blackpool, Harri even sold his demo one and backup spares I gave him!

Here it is Demonstrated by Harri at Blackpool at 12:07. I am glad it sold well at there and was a success, I like to see people do well, but I still don't like the effect or feel that it is deceptive at all - a plastic bag isn't a very tricky place for something to end up, but I guess that's just me.

So last week I went to the first wedding that I've been too (as a guest) since the lockdown in March 2020, and I wanted to do an effect that was quick and easy which I could carry in my suit, but importantly, would give the bride something magical to remember. I recalled Harribo and thought this would be perfect. Now I know how it's done, as I'm sure most of you also do, but just knowing it's method doesn't mean you then go out and build the things you need to start performing it. A great effect is only great if it's actually performed. For just over £20 I received the props to perform the effect as well as the teaching of some simple sleights and most importantly the routining. As soon as I watched the first 5 minutes of the video (bear in mind I KNEW how it's done) I was smiling from ear-to-ear as I was already imagining how to use this at the wedding and how much fun and enjoyment it would provide. And to me I think that's the most important part - to create a moment of fun and wonder - which this certainly does. This effect is beautiful in it's simplicity - to take something as personal as a ring, then make it vanish and transpose into a sweet ring, then reveal the real ring (after a moment of worry from the spec) trapped inside a sealed bag of sweets - it's so lovely and so emotive. I knew it would go down well at the wedding but I didn't expect it to be SO well received. I preformed it three times and the reactions were amazing! I think that there are many of us , like me, who see something incredible and have no idea how it's done, so HAVE to purchase it just to fulfil that desire of needing to know the secret; but....once we have this precious information we don't then do anything with it as the effect is too complicated, requires more skill than we have, takes too much time to set-up, is too routined for an in-promtu effect etc etc etc. There are innumerable excuses I make for not performing an effect and I have a side-board full of them unfortunately. This is NOT one of those. Just my two cents but from me it's highly recommended for those who want to leave a spec (family or professional client) with a moment of confusion and delightment all wrapped up in a simple bag of Haribo. Thank you Harri

Reminds me of coin in sugar packet but without all the mess. I like it.

Here is a presentation idea that I have shared with Harri, it goes like this:
Start with borrowed ring or coin in right hand, pull up right sleeve with left hand, false transfer to left hand to free up right hand to pull up left hand (completely motivated), go to pocket to pull out sharpie to show ring vanished, now I don't rush to pull bag out I say 'your ring is currently on a journey, you ring believe it or not is back on your finger' Everyone looks and I say 'yeah that would've been good wouldn't it!' As everyone is laughing I put sharpie away into pocket and grab hold of bag and load into my inside jacket pocket to bring out a deck of cards, do a card effect. Come back to spectator who loaned you the ring and say they have been a great sport and would like them to have a souvenir, reach into inside jacket pocket and pull out bag, then into the ending. I like this a lot as there is no connection from where load ring and where you finally pull the bag out of pocket, you have tons of misdirection from the gag of everyone expecting ring to be back on their finger, by the time they look back at you you have a deck of cards in your hands or almost in your hands anyway. Hope you like? |
