I just bought an actuator that has a maximum weight limit of 200 kilos. It is very compact and quiet. 18 inches maximum height. Operates on 24 volts dc. I am thinking of substituting it with my old gamolo levitation which has a 1 hp electric 110v motor. Aside from this, have any of you guys ever used this motor for other levitation effects? I plan to make a smaller version which I can use semi surrounded.

Lou,
Where did you get the motor and how much was it? Thanks. Jim

I got it from a friend. He sold it to me for US$130. Brand name: LINAK. Made in Denmark. I guess it is used in modern hospital beds. You can make a search in the internet but the model I got isn't in the list. It is about 18" when extended and weighs about 4 pounds.

What kind of lifts are used in the floor to do waist high type levitations? The ones seen in the levitations done on platforms are not in front of backdrops. I'm looking for something that can have speed control fast and slow. Thanks ~Tim

What I have right now is similar to the ones of the new Gamolo levitation except that it is 24V DC and not the AC 110V. Thus, I can just connect a 24V DC battery inside the platform. Speed can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the voltage. I tried 12V and it is too slow. 24V is just the right speed.

How far is the lift though? Most I could find were at max 18 inches. I am hoping for at least 30" to get up to waist high.
Does anyone here perform the zombie to appearing aga levitation to asrah? Anyone use a lift that goes from floor to waste at all? |
