At around 11:30 PM on 2/22/2022 John Edward Szeles, known to many as The Amazing Johnathan, passed away due to heart complications. My sympathies are with is wife and all those who knew and loved this amazingly talented and unique magician.
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Hung with him at his house in Vegas a couple of times. Great guy! Funny as hell! He had his house rigged with amazing practical jokes. Another legend gone.

I know he'd been having a hard time for a while, but still so sorry to hear of this. I loved visiting with his classic cars and drive-in. I enjoyed hanging with him and Gallagher who when put together were always hilarious. Everyone here in Vegas has a special place in our hearts for John. RIP our friend.

" Sometimes, Magic sounds like tape" a hilarious routine on WGM. I still laugh thinking about his gags,
The hand is quicker than the eye prop and the seagulls and popcorn prop. A unique individual. His facial gestures with the eye raise was unique to him as well. He brought laughter to many.
Guilt will betray you before technique betrays you!

Sometimes he would accidentally/on purpose reveal his props, like his fake card manipulation prop; and it would just make the audience roar with laughter. His humor and magic will be missed by all. Lynn
