Well I have been debating on a book and video for the past couple weeks on rubber-band magic. Well I finally placed my order for Dan Harlans "Bandshark" video and for the Elastrix Vol. 1 book. I understand the book is hard to understand but trust me it should be easier than the recent instructions I got to put together my new computer table.
Well let me know if I did choose the right video and book. Because All I heard about was these 2 items on the close-up forum. Also if you guys want to start suggesting some good online sources for cups and balls routines, sleights, and some Chop cup routines and sleights. Thanks |

Unfortunately I can't help you with either the book or video. However, I would like to echo your request for sources for the cups and balls. They don't even have to be online sources, I'll take any suggestions anyone has to offer. |

Elastrix has some weaknesses in the description of some of the moves, but the Bandshark video should more than make up the difference.
David Do a search here for my earlier post on Cups and Balls. Just in case, visit Click Here! for a great write-up on many different kinds of cups. David

Thanks about the site there MageofMeadows, great site. I have just seen Penn and Teller's version of the cups and balls, with the clear cups, man is that freaky.
Well anyways, thanks again! |

Dan Harlan lectured at our IBM meeting last month. He was great. I've been looking for that Bandshark video since then.
He had mentioned that it was going to be reissued on DVD. Is that what you got?
What is the color of magic?

Nope I got VHS. If I would have thought about DVD, I probably would have waited. but I was too anxious to get the video though!

Ammar's Cups and Balls videos are great!
All of Jeff McBrides Videos and DVD are the best for stage, coins, cards, etc. His sleights are tops!

You did well--the Bandshark is a great video, and the book is very good, too. You could have done a WHOLE lot worse!

Any dan harlan book should be just fine for rubber band magic.

And for buster, A good book is the mendoza cups and balls routine. It is a fine book although it needs a chop cups and balls combo.
