Do any of you fine magicians happen to know what brand and color of cards Vernon typically used - especially in his later years at the Magic Castle?

I always heard Tally Ho circle backs, but that might be apocryphal.

Yes, Tally-Ho circle back cards were the favorite of Dai Vernon.

Yes, Vernon was often photographed using Tally Ho Circle Backs. Some of my favorite photos of his however are with Bicycle Racer Backs and the famous Jerry's Nugget cards.
It's never crowded on the extra mile....

Interesting to note that in The Dai Vernon Book of Magic there are a number of photos of Vernon using Tally Ho Circle Backs but the Ace of Spades is different from the current design. It is reminiscent of the AS design used on the vintage Angel Back Squeezers.
It's never crowded on the extra mile....
