I am a mentalist working on a routine that requires me to force a card from a stack of 9 board game cards. After doing some research I decided I need to create a Pop Eyed Popper Deck or a Mirage Deck. I don't really need the Svengali effect so the Pop Eyed Popper seems to be the best choice. I have purchased Harry Robson's Roughing Stick. I am not a "card guy" so I'm looking for advice on where to put the roughing on each card. I want to be able to spread them out and/or do a dribble and let the spectator touch the card they want and I hand it to them. I have an Invisible Deck and Mirage Deck with playing cards, but I have trouble separating the cards quickly without looking suspicious. I would appreciate tips from card guys on handling a Pop Eyed Popper deck. Since board game cards are not designed to slide like playing cards, I want to make them stick together when showing the cards but easily separate when I want to hand the top card to the volunteer. Any advice from those experienced with a Pop Eyed Popper or Mirage Deck would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Steve
