Dan Harlan's version is sold out.
Is there a new version of this [like not Peanut Butter/Jelly?] Any ideas of the best quality version to buy? I can see this working for the church/club show I have coming up... just being in the UK [where none of these <PN&J> are on sale] makes it harder to buy or know which one to buy... Thanks for any help x |

There are lots of variations of the PB and J Trick (that version originally credited to Timothy Wenk), because it's really a variation of the classic Passe Passe Bottles trick, which was performed with bottles and glasses (not to be confused with the Multiplying Bottles Trick).
Here are variations on the Passe Passe theme... https://kandumagic.com/current-products/capt-jack-silver https://kandumagic.com/current-products/storytime-transpo https://kandumagic.com/current-products/ketchup-fries-n-more (this one combines Multiplying Bottles and Passe Passe) https://www.smmagic.com/blog1/?product=passe-milk-cookies --- Jolly Roger used to sell a variation called "Ridiculous Ravioli", but I can't seem to find it listed on his website just now (nor is it currently listed on the Hocus Pocus website... they were the dealer who sold it, as well). Here's a video of him performing it. JR last posted on the Magic Café in mid-February, so he might be back soon and will chime in about where to buy his version (he loves to talk about it). - Donald

Thanks for that.
At first I thought the capt jack might be perfect - as I have pirates in the show I am putting this into... but then feel the capt jack thing is actually rather limiting and also the wrong place in the show for this routine I do like the look of the Jolly Roger routine. I thought at first he might live in the UK, which would have worked out a lot cheaper... I can imagine if it's not listed in the usual places it may not currently be available and from the look of the routine I can image it costs a fair bit more than the Peanut Butter type routines. Thanks for your help Much appreciated x |

There are lots of threads in the little darlings area that discuss the PB&J trick, and variations (do a Café search for the words "Peanut Butter" in the little darlings area, to find some).
On this thread, someone mentions on the 4th page about seeing plastic jars of Sunflower Butter at Trader Joes, and the possibility of adapting those bottles. Sunflower Butter Jars, as an alternative, are also mentioned in a couple of other posts (found them with a search). (We don't have Trader Joes where I am in Canada, but those might possibly be available in other stores.) - Donald

Unfortunately, it is no longer for sale, but can occasionally be found for sale in various outlets like Ebay, but they usually go pretty quickly. Though I say it myself, it is by far the best PB and J routine ever produced. Good luck!! JR |
