I pick up a black envelope containing the prediction card which has been on the table the entire time. And I give them the deck so they can finish dealing to the card. I hand the envelope to the spec and have them open it revealing the prediction card. |

I was able to add another kicker to this effect by adding a card to impossible location whammy at the end. (I prefer to use it as a mentalist effect though) As the spec removed the prediction card from the envelope, he asked "How did the card get into the envelope?" At that point, the card they counted to was long gone.

I like to try different ideas and see what happens. If you are content with what is written in the instructions, then fine. However, there are those of us who like to use our imagination and occasionally we go beyond the instructions. Someone did this with Bill Goldman's Mental Yarn and came up with an idea that improved the handling so much that I no longer perform this as Bill Goldman explains in the instructions. Yes, Goldman's effects have been honed over thousands of performances. However, he could possibly discover a new method tomorrow that improves the effect even more. As I stated, I like using different ideas. I use Barrie Richardson's 'Synergistic Memory Demonstration' in Act Two which is the same as Boomerang. But Barrie incorporates a killer idea that enables you to set up the deck under the spec's nose. Actually, Boomerang itself could be viewed as the kicker in this routine. Kickers can be really good and they can be a positive addition to an effect. One example is Michael Ammar's kicker to Harry Lorayne's impromptu OOTW. Fortunately, there have been several creative minds who weren't content with the fact that effects have been "performed, improved and honed over hundreds if not thousands of performances". |

Yeah...I'm sure you know best. I should have realized just how creative you were. I'm so sorry.

Ok, what I would really like to know....if somebody could maybe pm me? is how do you do the little setup right in front of their eyes. Which one is the most practical method for you? A pass?

I just got this trick and love it. I would welcome some advice on how to set it up on the fly as suggested and also on how to get the deck "clean" afterwards so can do more tricks with same normal deck. Thanks.
