(this is obviously an act of love on the part of Ben Harris) 1st: the book is sewn-bound not glued. It's a horizontal shape, not vertical... Which makes the magazine-style format of text work extremely well, especially with the profuse photos & illustrations. 2nd: I can think of no modern effect that took several countries by storm in it's media impact. This is the definitive history of a groundbreaking mystery. I lived through that time of wonderment when it first arrived. The impact is with us still. I was blown away by seeing the first television appearances as a kid. It has become a core part of the history of mystery entertainment and of culture. 3rd: Uri Geller is a true mystery entertainer. He kept his secrets. In this book, those secrets are deconstructed by knowledgeable Magicians. Further techniques are also taught. 4th: The best value of this book is in the essays from some of the best & brightest out of the mentalism community, offering tips & finesse, presentations & thoughts to provoke your own creative journey. To sum up: Vanishing Inc. has produced a beautiful book! My hat off to them!
