Just received it and love it. Very nice item. I'm kinda drawing a blank on the patter I should use with this. For those that have it could you share yours with me. Only those that have it or have knowledge are to respond please.
Just so you know, my difficulty with coming up with the patter line is because this starts with 3 Yellow Spots which then change to from top down, White, Blue, Red. I have no idea why it the ending colors are in this sequence. Would have been so much better if they were in Red, White, Blue then the patter I think would a quite easy. Anyone with any thoughts on this? Anyone care to use their noggin with me and come up with a patter line that makes sense? How bout Pete Biro? you out there...... or Harry, someone!!!!! |

Randy,
I have it, but I don't perform it professionally, so I don't have a well-developed script, but here's an idea off the top of my head: "Have you seen the new test they're giving at the Department of Motor Vehicles? It's a really strange color-blind test to make sure that people can read traffic lights properly and I'll show you how it works. They use this strange device (show the paddle) and ask you to identify the color. Do you see the color yellow (show both sides of the paddle)? Do you know what yellow means? It means hit the gas because it's going to turn red soon! And the funny thing is, if I cover up the bottom yellow spot (cover it), it will turn red soon (uncover the spot and show that it has turned red). And it's red on both sides (show both sides of the paddle using the paddle move). Of course in addition to red and yellow, a traffic light has the color green, and if I cover the middle spot (do so), it'll turn green (remove your thumb and show that the middle spot has turned blue). Do you see the color green? What, it looks like blue to you? Does it look blue on both sides (do paddle move)? Hmmm, you're not color blind are you? Give me your license!!!! I'm just kidding, if you see red and blue, I guess the only way to end this is the patriotic way, with red, white and blue (cover the last spot and change it to white). You know it's un-American not to applaud (tongue in cheek)." Not the best patter in the world, but it's the best I could do off the top of my head (and as you can see by my picture, there's not much on the top of my head to begin with). The order of the colors makes no difference in my opinion...there's no need to justify the order on something that looks strange to begin with! Larry D. |

Why not do a patriotic Red, White, and Blue patter?
The three colors ARE on the paddle. Just because the colors are not lined up exactly in that order doesn’t mean that you can not use a Red, White, and Blue patriotic patter.

OK, off the top of my balding head...
Patter theme. "I am both colorblind and have ADD... So, I have this little training paddle. If I put the toothpick in the Red Hole I'm not sure, cuz I'm color blind, is it in the Red hole, or, I forget, where did I put it????" Take it from there gang.

Pete, I think you're referring to a different Porper Paddle (which is a clever paddle too).

Probably. I just spent a day at Porper's photographing all his products for a catalog and maybe one paddle got confused with another in my feeble mind...
