Today I found Dirty Work Station at Hank Lee online shop! Months ago I read the some posts here said that the DWS was exclusive to Hocus Pocus and with the limited supply of only 90 sets.
Today I also found the following advertisement on Hocus Pocus ** A very limited supply of Dirty Work stations will see the light of day, which means you had better act today, because once they are gone, they'll be gone forever! We thank Jansenson Magic for granting Hocus Pocus the exclusive on this incredible item that no serious magician or mentalist should be without! ** Anyone know are they same ? IF really same product .I just cann't understand the meaning of EXCLUSIVE and LIMITED SUPPLY !!!!!!! |

This question of "exclusivity" has surface more than once on the Café. It seems some inventors don't quite understand the concept and offer "exclusives" to more than one distributor.
I don't know if this is one of those cases, or simply a misunderstanding.

I just checked out both sites. Yes, it looks like it's the exact same product. However, I could not find the phrasing you mentioned reading on the Hocus Pocus site. The only mention now of exclusivity is in the graphic image, which takes longer to edit. It's possible they're in the process of changing their website. Or some other reason... I'm just guessing.

I think Jason of Hocus Pocus will answer your question shorty.

Greetings,
I'll try and answer this as best I can. Hocus Pocus Magic had originally purchased 90 Dirty Work Stations with exclusivity. Of the 90 we had, only 13 remain. Paul, the owner of Hocus Pocus Magic, is very good friends with Chuck Kirchner, the owner of Magic City, a wholesale magic company. Magic City had an overseas account that asked if they carried this item, as they wished to purchase 6 units. So, as a favor to Chuck, Hocus Pocus sold them 6 units around 45 days ago. HOWEVER, the overseas order was cancelled. So, Magic City still had 6 units in-stock that they needed to sell. They asked our permission if they could put the DWS on their website to sell. Paul agreed. You can verify this by going to http://www.magicity.com. Which is why you have seen this on Hank Lee's website. Rest assured, at this point, we only have 13 left to sell. When those are gone there will be no more. So, wether you order from Hank Lee or Hocus Pocus, just remember that only a few remain. If you have any other questions feel free to conact me here at the store 1 800 407 4040

I don't care about the "exclusivity". Any owner please let me know whether it is worth or not. For me $249.95 is a lot of money. I have an order planning to Hank Lee I need some advice from you guys before I included this one to my order. Thanks
