Anybody know any multi-person effects? By this I mean tricks involving multiple people in-the-know. Obviously there tricks where someone signals you to the card in question. What about multiple people doing sleights, and or patter?

Hi,
Check the very first routine in David Acer and Richard Sanders' "Roadkillers" video. I have used it many timest and it always gets a good reaction. BTW, There's also A LOT of routines of this kind (done with people in the know) in mentalism, so I strongly suggest you also ask your question in that thread too. I also asked a very similar question in the "New to magic" section. I suggest you do a "search" there. I hope this helps. Ronnie Lemieux Montreal Canada

Indeed, the Roadkillers' trick is only shown but is simple to figure out -- easy to do and gets ridiculously great reactions. Plus you can do it from across the room.
Just think about how 2 magicians can do the same trick at the same time and switch something between them. Or have to work together. Or fight over doing something which ends to their own surprise...

Inspired by David Acer and Richard Sanders' performance in 'Roadkillers', I conceived the following idea.
2 magicians are facing opposite and doing magic for a person in front of each. Each spectator selects a card, looks at it and returns in each deck. Maigcian No.1 take out 4 Aces, and Magician No.2 take out 4 Kings. 2 magicians each bring his packet in his back and bring it around his body to the front. However they switch the packets in their back. Magician No.1 shows that 4 Aces changed to 4 Kings, and Magician No.2 shows that 4 Kings changed to 4 Aces. Now each gives a magical gesture over each packet and spread them. A face down card appears in the middle of each packet. They are turned face up. Each spectator finds that it is his selection. Lovely. Thanks for the other searches saturnin. Nice invention Hideo. This may be rude of me to suggest a possible extension, but that's what I'm like. Could you sandwich another card or two?
If you could...the spectators could move around you choosing one from your deck one from his deck. The circling would be quite magical, and add to the 'any angle' myth. Of course the pass could be performed 'at the right time'. M |

I got One more idea.
2 magicians are facing opposite and doing magic for a person in front of each. Each magician spreads the cards and up jog 4 Aces. Each shows back and face of the cards. BTW, Magician-a uses blue backed deck and magician-b uses red backed deck. Each push in the Aces in the deck and declare the 4 Aces in his deck will disappear. Each spreads the cards and 4 Aces are still in his deck. Each up jog the Aces and show that the back of 4 Aces differ from back of his deck. Each says "4 Aces in my deck disappeared". Hideo Kato |

Two other magicians and I will be working a street festival in a few weeks. One of the little bits we're going to throw in is having us wander into the crowd and start forcing the same card on random people, then have them all yell it out at once. Simple, yeah, but I think we can have some fun with it.

I often work table hopping with a colleague. We have arranged, such that whenever I yell across the room "What card did John select" my partner would always yell back "7 of spades" because he knew that if I asked, then I'd forced the 7 of spades.
It gives a lot of laughs, and a lot of misdirection. |

If you have two magicians who both know a memorized stack, like Aronson, you can have lots of fun with unknowing spectators and Any Card at Any Number. Think about it.

Watch the video "Magic of Spain", produced by Stevens Magic.
At the end there is a presentation of Juan Tamariz with Pepe Carrol. They used to do a lot of things together, mainly with the subject of gamblers. Very good things |
