Has anyone heard of The Great Gammbini"? If so, could you please tell me some things about him? What was his style, where and when did he perform, etc...
Thank you. Magically yours, Regan

The only references I found on Google were to a movie called "The Great Gambini."

Thanks Bill. I don't know if it's about the same guy or not. The great Gammbini (spelling???) that I'm talking about was the father of a magician I knew that was an inspiration and mentor to me. After his death, his twin brother, who was a wonderful entertainer himself, became a good friend of mine. He talked a lot about my mentor and told me things about him that I never knew. He described some of his routines for me that I had not gotten to see him do. Sadly he died also. I miss them both. He spoke briefly about their father, The Great Gammbini. I was just curios and thought I would see if anyone knew about him.
By the way Bill, I must say it is an honor to converse with you. I read about you a long time back in M.U.M. If I remember correctly, you are a musician also. So am I. I am going to go through my old M.U.M.s and read about you again. I remember I really enjoyed it before and I was really impressed with you as a magician. Best Regards, Regan

This must be two different people. "The Great Gambini" movie was fictional. I don't see a reference to him (either spelling) in either of Christopher's books or in the Klosterman/Braun compilation.
Thanks for your kind words. I'm just another magician. That's all! Take care.
