One of the first practical tips I got from these boards was a way of using a Post-It pad to get an impression using invisible tape.
This got me thinking. And thinking. About Post-Its. I thought about it so much it has become a book in its own right. So I blame some of you for it. You can get Post Justify at magic notes. I hope you enjoy it. It wouldn't have happened without this place. |

I love using post it notes.
You can do so mch with them (CT, imp pad, a psychometry routine, swami, PW), and they're so 'normal' to the specs that they almost become 'invisible'. So tell me what or where is magic notes.

I have now expanded the description of the book so you know a bit more about what you're getting.
Still waiting for some more reviews to come in before I post them up. Hope this helps. |

Bev,
Have you sent any copies of the ebook to the pros? Kenton, Luke Jermay, Ted Lesley, Osterlind, Banachek, etc. They all have great knowledge and can give you advice, and maybe a review. If I were ever to release a ebook or lecture notes, etc. I would always send it off to people. You may have created a effect which exposes someone else's (not saying that you have; that's just an example).

The manuscript has already been in circulation between some knowledgeable folks. As with all things, I have been as careful as I can not to 'tread on peoples toes'. The original manuscript was let out to a select few as early as last December - since then I have condensed the contents of this first book and saved some other ideas for a follow-up, although I have no idea when I will have time to finish it. The finished version; however, has only just gone out to these people. Many people approached me to publish this material and each one of them thought the content to be original. I went with Magic-Notes after much to-ing and fro-ing on my own part as I tried to work out the best way to release it. It may still see print but Jamie's Magic-Notes is basically an offer you can't refuse.

Message for Steven Evens:
Bev has sent to the book to a number of pros (including me). It's all new and it's great. Check my review on the Magic Notes listing. Better still don't - I'm not sure I want everyone knowing one of the ideas in the book. Doug |

They get so much that they canNOT go through all the material anymore. I know that because I have been told personally. So, do your shows, publish your effects and WAIT FOR THEM to contact you. It may be years but it is worth the wait. RAVI

Bev,
I believe the effect that got you started was 'Post-Impression'. I posted it here some time ago, and people seemed to really like it, so I reprinted it in my most recent endeavour, Explicit Content. Just thought I would chime in. Sean |

Bev and everyone else-
I am sorry if you thought I was implying that the material wasn't original, or that you haven't sent any of it to anyone. I was just making a suggestion to anyone who wants to have their material published. Sorry once again, Steve.

No offense taken.
There was only one thing that did come up while I was in the early stages of writing the book, and that was that I'd re-invented the wheel regarding Busch's Billet. However, seeing as that was the first thing I came up with it spurred me on to greater things and I ommited that peek from the book. However, I can say that you should definitely try Busch's Billet with a folded post-it as the gum helps you do this really well! There is too much out there to check every little move and effect to see if you're close/too close to someone else's method. All you can do is try as hard as you can to avoid it happening, do as much research as you can without breaking the bank, and show the material to enough people from enough places to check to see if anyone has heard anything like what you propose. It's hard to be creative in a sea of paranoia. At some point I think you have to release the material, hope fot the best, and do the right thing should a problem arise. |
