BTW, you got toilet paper? I recall getting a shiny "silver" balloon. That was supposed to pass for the "ball"
Lucky you got those authentic Braco's Floating Balloons. I literally got just toilet papers....which hurt your ass when you use them.
That's incredible! You payed over fifty bucks and they sent you butt wipe??!! man I would be even more p***ed off than I was when I got the balloons.
I don't know what the heck they expected you to do with toilet paper. Sounds like they wee jsut trying to mock whoever got the package. yes, I'd be royally pi**ed!!

I put a post-it-note on the box. Since the post-it-note is already on the box, they usually won't remove it and use another surface. In fact, that has not happened since I've been using this method.
I instruct the spec to hold the box up, facing me so there is no chance for me to see what they are writing. I then tell them to hold the box (with the note still attached to it) in their hands and look into my eyes. This allows me to sense the essence of the card.......This connection will allow me to pull the card out of the deck.
The spec is then instructed to remove the post it note and crumple or fold it as I remove their card from the box.
This is a good idea. I am going to have to dig mine out from the back of the drawer and try this...Now which drawer did I bury it in......

If you are willing to improvise, you can make this an awesome effect. If you do not, it may not work.
Try using a pen too. I use an erasermate. It has always been my experience that some pens don't write so well. I tell specs to write clearly and that they might have to press hard to get the ink to flow.
Now that I have combined this with Maven's idea, I routinely remove people's perceptions from their brains with this.
Another example of an effect that has a flaw that can be easily overcome is Maven's 'Contimental'. I know of a couple of mentalists that will not perform it because they are scared that a spec will choose Greece. But I WANT specs to choose Greece because I learned an excellent way to reveal that country.
You can make a lot of effects work if you want to.
