Gents-
I am looking for some recommendations on what the next logical step is after Bobo's. I was thinking I couldn't go wrong with Roth's book, but I am just wondering what others think. Any recommendations on some good sources out there? Thanks in advance- |

If you learn by books, Roths Expert Coin Magic and Kaufmans Coin Magic are excellent choices.
However, I find that I learn better by video. |

Hi all,
I have neither Roths Expert Coin Magic book nor the Kaufmann Coin book and wondered if there is a great deal of overlapp between the two? I have the Roths videos 1,2,& 3 and recommend them. M.Rubensteins Knock Out Coins DVD has some lovely routines and great ideas. Regards Alan |

Most of the David Roth section in Coinmagic is in Roth's book. However, there is a great deal of material in the Roth book that isn't in Coinmagic, and there is a great deal of material by other magicians such as Sol Stone and Geoff Latta in Coinmagic. Both are certainly worth your while.

I cant recommend David Stone enough, his 2 videos are a perfect next step for Bobo's and Roth.. Lots of new moves, and challenging routines...

Variable 75,
For what my two cents is worth, I think that Modern Coin Magic, Coinmagic and Expert Coin Magic are all essential. Some times clarity can be achieved from examining a concept or effect from different perspectives. And in that regard, I guess the Roth videos, especially the first three, can give you a good visualization for some/many of the items in the books. IMHO Thanks for your time. Vincent |
