I have quite a lot of Sankey DVDs and found his Revolutionary Coin Magic and Best Of series DVDs to be his best.

The Very Best of Jay Sankey, It was my favorite and wasnt filled with a lot of the fluff weird stuff done elsewhere.
you'll find that A LOT of this material is everywhere else. don't jump on the coin magic because there was A LOT you wont use....if you have the money and A LOT OF EXTRA DIFFERENT COINS than go for it

Why do you say there is a lot you won't use? I have heard nothing but great things about RCM.

Yeah, I use a lot of things on RCM, and it kills! First coin DVD I ever got after reading a lot of glowing reviews on here. Definitely one of Sankey's best. I've also got his TVBO and also agree that it is one of his best sets yet.

I seconded the74rock that Jay's Secret Files vol. 1 & 2 are some of the best of Jay's work.

I am all about these videos. Jay Sankey's videos are not only innovative, but are very well explained. I also recommend these.

I don't know why I didn't see them mentioned. But I personally believe Sankeytized Vol 1 and 2 to be his best. In fact Revolutionary Coin Magicand Sankeytized are the ONLY Sankey vids I'll watch. Sankeytized 2 has his top notch best material, and some killer extras.

I have "The Very Best" of vol's 1-3 and "Front Row Sankey".
I would rate "Front Row Sankey" ahead of "The very Best". |

I like:
"The Very Best of Jay Sankey" "Revolutionary Coin Magic" "Paperclipped" 3-Ring Circus I've viewed a lot of Sankey tapes and there is a lot of overlap. I'm not certain that this is bad for a new user because the effects that seem to get repeated are, generally speaking, the stronger and better Sankey material. (such as Paperclipped, Mr. Clean Coins Across, etc.) But, for guys that already have this material, it seems to get a little old buying the same thing twice or three times. I loved the idea for the rings in 3-Ring Circus, but, I was quite surprised that Jay did not put out a routine with the rings. He merely showed you a few moves and then left it up to you to develop your own routine. This is not necessarily bad (causes you to think--and hopefully be original) but the $39.95 price tag seemed a little high to pay for such limited information. In Jay's defense, Jay did put in some bonus material and a lot of it was quite good albeit mostly card effects. However, when you are spending $39.95 for a DVD advertised as "3-Ring Circus, I would have expected lots of material on the advertised product and NOT the stealth bonus (and unrelated) CARD material. That said, I liked this DVD a lot. Mike

If you are a card person his secret files and his revolutionary card magic is good. I also like his revolutionary coin magic. mr.cleans coins across is the best.

I like 3 Ring Circus the best, although I too was a bit surprised that he didn't teach an actual routine on the dvd. However, for me,the bonus material made up for that. His dowsing routine is a good impromptu out of this world effect.
22 Blows to the Head was also a good buy for me because it taught the secret to paperclipped(mercurial prediction) and there were also some other good tricks such as shuffle cut deal and hide keep and give away. |
