I had the pleasure of talking with Teller recently while he was here in Omaha doing research for one of his latest projects. He has acquired existing works of and about David P. Abbott, as well as some new undiscovered material to compile the tome: "House of Mystery: The Magic Science of David P. Abbott".

This eagerly anticipated two-volume set is being published by Todd Karr of the Miracle Factory, most noted for such titles as "The Secret Ways of Al Baker", "Germain the Wizard", and "Neo-Magic Artistry".

For those who do not know, David P. Abbott lived in Omaha and was a noted magician, investigator of paranormal claims, and author. He was known nationally as inventor of "Talking Teakettle" and considered one of the most underrated magician in the 20th century.

This book will be available in November and can be preordered from Todd at http://www.Miraclefactory.org . I for one can not wait for this book, and look forward to seeing the finished product.

Thanks for the head's up. This looks like another winner from the Miracle Factory.

Already have mine on order.

I'm glad they are splitting it up into 2 books. Wish they done it to the Baker book. At 6 pounds, it wears on a body to hold it for reading.

I just got this from Todd Karr (printed with his permission):

We're a bit delayed on House of Mystery due to the extra material Teller's adding. We're expecting it from the printer by February, and the limited editions take slightly longer. Sorry to let you know about the delay, but it will be worth the wait!

The excerpt in Genii a few months ago was remarkable. Let's see, Christmas is only two months away . . .

I believe that it is now slated for a June or July release.

I was told mid-May when I asked about this in January, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's now June or July.

Fiddlesticks.

Here's a great article on Teller's link to David P. Abbott. http://www.omaha.com/living/in-this-illu......ef3.html

I like how the story unfolds & in a way is written like a magic trick.

I'm looking to purchase these. I purchased the set but got two copies of #1, instead of both.
PM me a price. Not interested in anything over $250 before shipping.

Best,
Jed

PS if that #2 is floating around lonely I'd buy it solo for $125.
