I'm in the process of reworking my Rope and Ring routine (I use a 4-5 foot length of rope and a 3 inch bangle - I don't mean a finger ring) and, while I'm happy with the various ways I have for magically penetrating a ring on to a rope, I'd really like to find some better ways of magically removing the ring.
Can anyone direct me to any good sources - books, notes or even videos. I think (and I think that the audience think) that if I can magically get the ring onto the rope, I should be equally able to magically get it off the rope too - just taking it off the end seems pretty lame! And if I use three or four different ways to put it on I need an equal number of different ways to remove it. Any suggestions will be gratefully received. Cheers, Bill

In my R&R routine, the ring magically penetrates on and then off the rope each time. If you already have the ring and rope, I'll be happy to send you just the instructions for a couple bucks if you're interested. It is also in my book, Great Scott! It's More Magic!

Phil Wilmarth, editor of the "Linking Ring" magazine, wrote a book on ring and rope effects. Try Magic, Inc. or e-mail Phil.
