I agree with Dan's review.....I have the original vhs tapes 1 & 2....This guy is smooth and the routines are fun to watch. (Notice I said watch, as some of these require lots and lots of practice) He also came out with a new dvd, David Stone live at FFFF.......

I just purchased Vol 1 and I like it. It focuses on routines rather then an encylepidia of sleights. And some of the sleights that are taught will take work (Han Paing) as you go on deeper into the routines but at least you have some good routines to utilizes the basic finger and classic palm vanishes.
If your an absolute beginner, I'd probably recommend the Ammar DVD Into to Coin Magic. I guess with coin magic, you have to start somewhere but I wanted to do a bit more then vanish a coin and have it come out my nose. So having a more solid routine to learn will assist me in that. |

I began coin magic with the vol.1 and I don't regret it. If I have to advise any coin DVD for someone who want go into coin magic, it would be this one.

David Stone is tops.
One should also get his lecture(DVD) at the FFFF, it is soooo entertaining, and there he does more then the coins. He's a great entertainer, and thinker.

I have played with ideas from Volume 2 for a few years now.
His thinking is very interesting. He is the second French magician whose tapes I have studied. The other (can't remember his name) did the champagne glasses production throughout his act. Dan W. or others might know his name. The tape is dubbed in english.(at least for this non french speaking american. Very interesting as well. Harris
