I want to work on Hanging Coins and have Expert Coin Magic (book and DVD) which are great references. The EG is a new sleight I'm learning. I saw a post a while back stating the opinion that Coins on the Edge was a better source for learning the EG. Yet when I read descriptions of Coins on the Edge, words like "pain" jump out on me.
WHich do you recommend? Thanks for your help, Gene |

Is simplest to learn the Roth work first. Then, my contribution is described briefly in Apocalypse, then Kainoa picks up the ball and does the Downs/Buckley thing with it using soft coins.

Don't let a little pain scare you off. Most of the pain comes from dropping coins on your toes until you get it right. I took the path described by Jonathan and am glad I did. I now where steel toe boots during my practice sessions.

Hello,
I think "coins on the edge" is a very good choice, with a lot of sleigts, some very good trick to apply what you learn.... perhaps a little hard to begin with edge grip, but if you are a worker, no problems, go with close eyes.... read you soon damien |

Jonathan,
Could you be more specific about your effect in Apocalypse? Could you tell me the volume, number and the name of the effect? Thanks, Gene |

Gene, I believe it's in volume 5. titled: Coin Go-Return. Has a few good techniques in there including what came to be called the flying shuttle pass.'
Kainoa uses the retention-to-edge grip part, and included my eg2eg move in his book. Another finding in Edge Grip Mechanics is somewhere in print under 'instant wildcoin'.
