Hey, can anyone help? I'm lookin for resorces for a 3 coin vanish.
I have a routien I'm workin on and I want to vanish 3 coins before I reproduce them and an extra one as well. I have tried vanishing one at a time (using EG) and all 3 at once (mutobe palm alla Harbottle)but I would like to try a few more things. Can anyone sygest a unique/intresting way of a vanish of 3 coins?? Thanks slebonio |

Do you need to keep them in your hands?
Do you need to reproduce those very same coins later? Do you have any access to a table, jacket, shirt, chair? Do you have to vanish the coins one at a time? Do you have to have empty hands after each vanish?
...to all the coins I've dropped here

Never heard of the Mutobe Palm... where can I learn it?
Buckle up... it makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car.

"The New York Magic Symposium collection five" 1986 Stephen Minch There are a few places to find this, "New Magic of Japan" 1988 kaufman. Kainoa Harbottle's "Coins on Edge" If I had to pick just one of the above I would go with "Coins On Edge." Hope this helps, Joe

3 coin vanish reproduction sequences seems to have increased in popularity lately in material released and performed.
At LVMI/Coinvention, I recall seeing a few 3 coin vanish/reproduction sequences. Do they have to be real coins? You can get a lot of milage out of 2 coins and a ] coin. Look at Latta's routine on the LVMI DVD, look at material released by Troy Hooser and Chris Korn recently. |

I have seen a gaffed approach that works also - haven't used it yet. Yes, a ]coin, and a fl...er for two. Done mostly at the fingertips which is nice...
I think you will find this referenced on Barry Taylor's Shell shocked. He does it strictly as a vanish, but experimentation will let you do it both ways. |

You will find a great version (or more!) of a three coin vanish and production on Gregg Webb's new CD-ROM "The Book That Doesn't Exist...And More!"

A very nice three coin vanish and reproduction is in Apocalypse May 1987 page 1353: "THREE TO GO". Can be done standing, just three coins. Don't overlook this.

If you vanish them... why bring them back? Or at least do some tricks in between.

WOW, thanks guys, a great responce, just to clear a few things up:
I was hoping to do the routein with no jacket, in short sleaves and standing with 4 real coins, however I only need a vanish of 3 coins, I have a very practical holdout method I have come up with for the 4th coin, which I will introduce for a coins accrose, and hopefully they will never be aware of it, the routein is in its early sytages but I plan to start clean produce one coin, go into a 1 coin routein, then 2, vanish 1, repoduce, produce a 3rd, vanish all 3 (steal a 4th) coins across, then I'm not sure weather to vanish them all and end clean or just stop, as I say its just an idea I'm working on. its in very early stages, but I'm excited with the potential of the holdout and use in a routein like this, just to add I'm going to use 50p coins - so it looks somewhat acceptable, as aposed to american coins (as you can see from my profile I'm english) something ive never done b4. don't you just love the feeling when you come upwith an exciting idea yourself, and develop it! Thanks again, and plz keep the advice coming, its much apreciated. Slebonio (PS - sorry for my appauling spelling) Quote:

I have a favorite routine that I created called "Digestible Coins" where three silver dollars one at a time vanish and later reappear one by one. It's done standing with regular coins with no body work or gaffs. It uses a number of original sleights. This will appear in print before the end of this year in a book on original coin magic which I have recently completed writing.

Check out Paul Wilson's Knock 'em Dead dvds for a 3 coin fingertip vanish and reappearance in the purse they originally came from.

I kind of like the old Downs thing with the transfer. It should permit 3 out of four vanishes real easily. The Roth hanging coins does wonders when you introduce a 4th item as a wand. So many options. Unfortunately in this context, after you make one coin vanish then appear, doing more becomes like a juggling act... and what was magical becomes just 'clever'. Too bad you keep bringing them back. The Ammar coin clip can do wonders for a good vanish of all at once. Have you tried the Kenner thing? Or using silly putty or blue-tac to manage coin traffic?
