You might try a search as this topic has been discussed a bit in other threads. By the way, Steve Axtell is a member of the Café.

My search turned up comments on the magic drawing board, but nothing on the special FX board. The clear difference is the effect(s) possible. perhaps as it is more for magicians than vents, I will ask elsewhere. thanks

When I worked for my previous company I sold the special effects board. It is a fantastic prop when used what it is meant for. Making a ordinary picture do something like a hand drawn rising chosen card ect. I feel that is strongest use is when it is combined with the magic drawing board in the same show. Both boards appear identical but have different working. The effects achieved using both boards seem to the audience immpossible, that's because they are. ( You use two different boards but the audience sees only one. ) I hope that helps.

I have both the Magic Drawing and Special FX Boards...and both work wonders for me
I used the special FX board to make the hosts of a TV show appear from a pot Their caricature heads of course My favorite is the rising card routine...but for special events and shows, the special FX board can do miracles... http://www.axtell.com/customer/sfxwanlu.jpg
