Jim, this is an awesome piece of work which I hope to master someday. I was wondering about how you came up with it. Where did the idea spark?

The thirteen coin assembly, which originally was called "Thirteen Coin Matrix," was inspired by watching Johnny Carson. Paul Gertner was the guest and he performed
"That's Ridiculous". He used 9 coins total, six half dollars, two silver dollars, and a 3" jumbo coin. I wanted to perform this at my restaurant walk around. At first I had a bunch of clips to hold out the coins, but found out that they were impractical. It took about a year to make it work. Only a few people have decided to try it and master it, as it is not an easy trick, lots of memory and classic palming multiple coins. Reed has developed it into his own style, which I prefer, and Robert Stevens has won some awards using it. Jim

Yes, I saw Reed, (Reed McClintock, for those who don't know whom I'm referring to) do a rendition of your effect using my coins yesterday at White Rabbit, when he stopped by. It was amazing. Your son and I were staring with amazement. It looked great. I would love to see you do it sometime.

Be prepared to practice quite a bit if you expect to master this Brian.
It was good to see you this evening. Jim
