Do not concern yourself with the serial number problem. Although you make the regular mismade from four bills (so to speak) only two numbers show on any finished bill. I always remove one of them in a manner that most magicians know. That way only one serial number is showing. The one you remove is at a location that ends up not “looking empty.”

The Dan Harlan routine handles this a bit differently, but just as convincing.

Bob,
What's a source for removing one of the serial numbers "in a manner that most magicians know"? I'm assuming it's in print somewhere.

I've never even given it a thought before.

Now you guys have gone and done it!

I've never even thought about fixing the mismatched serial numbers on the 'mismade.'

Now, everytime I hand out a mismade bill, it'll bother me that they don't match!

Thanks for making me neurotic!

For those who were looking to acquire 32-note sheets of uncut $1.00 bills from http://www.Moneyfactory.com

I just received mine in the mail December 10th. (I ordered them on November 22nd.)

So, they are still available, but better order ahead of time!

Just doing it with the $100 bill switch blows people away. It's really not hard to do & Ammar has a video (I believe I read recently that it's out on DVD now)that explains it well. I've never seen the other routines mentioned here.
I've never tried to alter the serial #'s so they match but I do think this is worth the effort (but only) if you're going to let them keep the bill. Otherwise it's never been noticed.
