Hi
Does anyone know of any literature relating to the use of Magic for teaching English as a foreign language? If anyone is doing this at the moment in their schools shows I'd really appreciate any advice you might have to give Thanks Cliff |

YEs I can help because I've run some programs in local schools using magic to teach English.
The best book for this is a rather old one but maybe you can find it from Amazon.com. Its called English By Magic and written by Peter John Hassall. It is published by Pergamon Press and the ISBN is 0-08-030484-2 Its a great book because it offers structured language work for language learners. It contains lots of routines (usually using simple but effective tricks in the public domain - like Copperfield's Project magic). Most importantly, it uses magic as a context for the development of English macro skills. I've used it extensively in my regular career as an English teacher and hope it can help you too! Good luck! |
