McBride is a great teacher and the obvious choice.
Aside from that, the Romaine videos are put out by magic makers, which are notorious for distributing knockoffs of others' tricks, and, as a result, I think their products should not be considered for purchase. |

I don't have Romaine series.
But MrBride is a good teacher. He show you slowly and few angle to show you how to do it. |

Romaine is the original; the real deal. He did not knockoff from anyone. That his DVD is produced by Magic Makers may be unfortunate, but it is no indication of any misdealings on his part.
I do not have all the McBride tapes, but I bet that they are considerably different approaches. If you want to have a manipulation act, the hard part is not so much perfecting the moves, as is it to routine them, make them flow, develop the plot, etc. I received no advice on those topics from the McBride tape that I own. The McBride tapes give you advice by example. He gives his routine. He also instructs you to learn the moves you like and develope your own routine.
I believe that is all the instruction one can give on being creative. I have not seen the Romaine video yet, but if he give his act then that would just be coping. |
