Friends,
If you haven't seen the site, if you haven't heard the music. You owe it to yourself to visit!
The music on these CD's are movie quality.
I bought "Vampire" and I'm very pleased with it.
Check it out at.....

Darn straight. We got our first Midnight Syndicate CD as a wedding gift. We now own the entire series as it stands.

Doc,
Are all CDs same quality as Vampire?
If so, I'm making room on the shelf!

Note that this (excellent) music is not "royalty free" for use in magic performances. It has however become so popular in the haunted attraction industry, they are graciously allowing its use without license in this context. They do require you to "register" your haunted attraction which can be done through an online form. If you run a seance, spirit theater, etc., I imagine this well falls within the guidelines of a "haunted attraction". To register yours, visit here.

Of course it is just great music to listen to.

We've used Midnight Syndicate along with some of my original works at Phobia House for the last four years. Never used them for my own Seances though. They seemed a bit cliche' for the tone of a seance.

MS is great stuff but sometimes there are soft passages that get lost in all the other sounds in a well-attended haunted attraction. Hardly enough of a disadvantage to not get the CDs though.

Even if you don't use them commercially, MS has some great, dark, sweeping fantasy soundscapes to add to your collection.

On a mild tangent, a good source of royalty-free music for magic is Bill White.

Thanks for the recommendation, I've downloaded all the sample tracks and I'm sure I'll try and get hold of a CD to use around Halloween.

I have 4 of their CD's. How many do they have now? I don't think I have ever seen "Vampire".

Try this page:
http://www.darkcelldigitalmusic.net/artist_music.cfm?a=41

right click on the blue arrow icon next to each title and click 'save target as'. You wil need to register with darkcell to do this but IMHO it's well worth the effort!
